A jury on Friday was condemned by an Illinois owner in a 2023 stabbing who said the life of a 6-year-old Palestinian American boy Wadee Alfayoumi, and left his mother who was critically injured.
Joseph Czuba, 73, was emotionless after being found guilty of three counts of first-degree killing, a number of attempts to kill, two counts of devastated batteries and two counts of committing an angry crime, FOX 32 Chicago reported. 
Alfayoumi’s mother Haan Shahan, told police that Czuba was angry about October 7, 2023, Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel and followed the war and attacked him and his son October 14, after asking him “pray for peace.”

He was stabbed several times.
The war just started one week before the attack, on October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked South Israel.
Prosecutors have accused Czuba’s two years of two years since they were Palestinian Americans, Fox 32 reported.
In a video presented in Court Thursday, Czuba spoke with an officer about attacking a police car.
“I’m afraid they’ll do Jihad with me,” Czuba said.

The footage was also captured by Czuba saying that Shahin did not tell him that he was Muslim and compared the Palestinian Liberation Organization to Nazis, According to the report.
Although there were no previous issues with Shahin and his son, Czuba’s wife testified that she was withdrawn and angry after watching the Hamas attack scope and asked the family to come out, Fox 32 reported.
According to the report, Shahin told the court that Czuba said, “You, as a Muslim, must die,” as he was attacked by a knife.
She locked herself in the bathroom and called 911, then heard her son yelling in another room, according to Fox 32.

Blood prosecutors said and Evidence of DNA was found with a knife, left in the boy’s body, according to the report.

The State Rep. Abdelnasser Rashid, D-Bridgeview, the first Palestinian American who served in the state legislature, released a statement describing the case as “gat-wrenching.”
“My heart goes to Wadee Alfayou’s family now,” Rashid said. “The jury was right to find Joseph Czuba who had guilty on all charges, including killing and hate crimes.”
